The Korean Translation Guide
한극어 가이드
Yeah.. I'm in the process of making this easier to read. And other stuff.

Just know that what's in this guide is the extreme basics of the language. It's really the minimum of what you need to know to play Korean Maplestory. If you wish to go on with Korean studies, please do so. Just know that that those extras won't be put here.
About Korean
The korean language is by far, for me, the easiest language I've learned. It's simple, and basic. I'm not saying that it'll be that easy, but here's what you'll need to know.
The Basics
The korean language is put out like this:
A consonant >> vowel >> consonant
So, for example, there's the consonant ㅈ. After that, there'd be a vowel, like ㅗ. Along with maybe a ㅁ. Adding these up, you'd get 좀.
Keyboard layout
So, I'll start out with some basics on the layout of keys and such.
Here's a simple picture of one:
The green coloring means that the letter is a consonant, and the orange coloring means that they are vowels.
But, as I know, a picture won't always help so much, so here's it in text (sort of):
Here, you see letters that contain two characters. This means that there's a normal character, and a character that is used with the shift key. (ex: shift + r = ㄲ)
Consonants
ㅂ,ㅈ,ㄷ,ㄱ,ㅅ,ㅁ,ㄴ,ㅇ,ㄹ,ㅎ,ㅋ,ㅌ,ㅊ, ㅍ
Vowels
ㅛ,ㅕ,ㅑ,ㅐ,ㅔ,ㅗ,ㅓ,ㅏ,ㅣ,ㅠ,ㅜ, ㅡ
A trick I use to remember some of these is that the consonants, ㅂ,ㅈ,ㄷ,ㄱ,ㅅ,ㅁ,ㄴ,ㅇ,ㄹ,ㅎ,ㅋ,ㅌ,ㅊ, and ㅍ are on the left side of the keyboard.
And the vowels, ㅛ,ㅕ,ㅑ,ㅐ,ㅔ,ㅗ,ㅓ,ㅏ,ㅣ,ㅠ,ㅜ, and ㅡ are on the right side.

Conclusion
For those of you who have hoped that this would be a full korean guide, sadly it is not, for I'm far too lazy to do that. But, this guide tells you enough to get you ready to use the rest of the guide, where phrases and such are held.
Common knowledge
Here's where you'll find in-game phrases and things you can use in normal conversation.

- 안녕/ㅎㅇ :: Hello
- ㅂㅂ :: Goodbye
- ㅋㅋ/ㅎㅎ :: Haha
- 네? / ? :: Yes?
- 모하삼/모해요 :: What are you doing?
- 한굴 말로는 잘 안함 :: I don't speak korean well:
In-game related
- 파티점요 :: Joining party
- 파탈 :: Leave party
- 파티구함 :: Recruiting for party
- 님 :: Getting ones attention
- 레벨 :: Level
- 제공해요 :: Offer please
- 자리요 :: My Spot, similiar to "CC PLZ"
- /찾기 (Name) :: /Find
- ㄳ or ㄳㄳ :: Thank you
- Change channel (PQ expression): 재섭/섭[number] (ex: 17섭 means go to channel 17)
Money
- 100 :: 백
- 1,000 :: 천
- 10,000 :: 만
- 10만 :: 100,000
- 100만 :: 1,000,000
- 1000만 :: 10,000,000
- 1억 :: 100,000,000
- 10억 :: 1,000,000,000
So, with the knowledge of some common phrases, you can use them in-game.
*The most common thing you should know is that when somebody says '님', they want your attention. You should really know this.

Just look at the world map for these. (W key, people :P) You should also know that you can just right-click to zoom out of the current map you're on.

These are common notices you'd find in-game.
- 접속 _시간이 경과했습니다. - This means that you've been ingame for _ amount of hours. After it reaches three, it'll extend with more text saying that you shouldn't play for so long.
